What User doesn't like about Smoke's Poutinerie:
I had heard so much about poutine that I couldn't wait to try it. I even asked the waiter at the expensive restaurant we dined at the night before where we should go for it. He immediately said Smokes because they have the good curds so the next day we went. We thought they were closed because there wasn't a customer in sight. I got the original with just cheese curds and brown gravy. Well...the gravy is very herbal.... View all feedback. What User likes about Smoke's Poutinerie:
First experience and I'm told it's not "real poutine" like in Montreal but still a yummy treat. We opted for the original with curds and gravy. Strange yet delicious was the consensus of my teen agers. Not expensive and quick. So many options too!You won't be disappointed. View all feedback.

read moreToronto's Smokes restaurant offers a mixed poutine experience - some loved the authentic cheese curds and friendly service, while others found the thyme-heavy gravy overpowering and the overall experience disappointing. Despite inconsistent hours and subpar side dishes like perogies, the variety of poutine options and reasonable prices keep regulars coming back. For a true Canadian poutine experience and fresh cuts, some suggest trying Harvey's instead. Overall, while some were wowed by unique flavor combinations like chicken, bacon, and ranch, others found the restaurant's offerings hit or miss. With dedicated staff and a central location, Smokes remains a go-to for a classic Canadian comfort food fix.

Great poutine. It's somehow fast and authentic. They also serve some immaculate perogies and I am very picky about fried perogies.
