What User doesn't like about Ruth's Chris Steak House Niagara Falls:
The food and service are excellent but the prices are outrageous. We’ve eaten at this chain a number of times in the past (pre-COVID) and it was always pretty expensive but it would appear that they’ve doubled their prices on nearly every item but the menu is essentially the same. If I want to spend $500-600 for a steak dinner for two, I can go to the Keg or Prime two times and have a comparable meal. View all feedback.
I thought I was in for a real treat. Food was very expensive, which I was prepared for, but I was not prepared for the poor quality. My $110 steak, thats right, just the steak was over cooked. My food was cold even though they warn you about the very hot plates. $25 for a glass of wine that costs $18 for a bottle at LCBO. Like I said, was prepared to pay a lot but these prices were ridiculous and all the negatives just compounded the poor experience. They did nothing to rectify the situation before I left. So many good options, can't believe I wasted a romantic night out with wife on this place. No repeat for me.
Service was great but the food was overpriced for what was tabled. If you are going to pay that much for food then it had better be something special. Food was good but nothing above above any other steak house that is 1/3 the price.
It was our first time dining at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and we couldn't be happier with our experience. Although it is quite expensive, once we took our first bite we immediately knew that it was worth every penny. Best steak we have ever had and would pay the bill every time for a steak of that quality. Our server Dante was amazing and very helpful!! Definitely going back for more!
Service was fine. Food was fine. We ordered the mushroom side and got asparagus. We ordered the $15 baked potato and shared it. My partner had a gin and tonic. I had water. We each had the small filet which was cooked to our liking. We shared an appetizer. We did not have dessert. It was surprisingly empty for a Thursday evening. There was one other party. The food experience was not what we would expect for $220/pp including tip/taxes. The restaurant had no ambience. It was cavernous. For steak in NF we would elect to go to The Keg which has a greater selection and a better price point/better value. Noted: prices in NF are generally inflated at most establishments.
It's true what they say about the bread. It's lacking in taste. My husband had the set meal while I ordered the Chilean sea bass. While my husband enjoyed his steak, I'm a little bit disappointed with my dish because I didn't find anything special about the fish (it's even more expensive compared to his steak all things considered). The cheesecake that was part of the set meal was nothing like the cheesecake I had at their former Mississauga location, which is what made me fall in love with Ruth's Chris to begin with, and the standard by which I hold all other cheesecakes. I'm not a steak eater but I would go back if only for their cheesecake. Sadly, this wasn't the same cheesecake. Despite the lacklustre food, the service was still excellent. We were celebrating our anniversary and they greeted us prior to seating, during the meal itself and when they served the complimentary dessert (we are grateful for the kind gesture, by the way). Our server was very attentive and inquired about how the food tasted. All the staff were very friendly, lively and looked genuinely happy. Don't know if it's the holiday spirit or it's because they're happy and proud of where they work. If it's the latter, it means that RC knows how to take care of its employees and for that, they deserve our commendation.
