I have visited this restaurant twice now on Tuesday nights for their chicken wing special and have had a great experience each time. The female servers, who I believe are the owners, work hard and provide excellent food with exceptional service. The food is delicious, the service is outstanding, and the prices are reasonable. I couldn't ask for more! View all feedback.
What nomadicweaver doesn't like about Queen's Guard Pub:
It's a pub so don't expect a lot of choice on the menu. I'd hoped for at least some carrot and celery sticks. It's basically fried meat with a mountain of fries. The staff are friendly and the place is clean, but it's a bar not a restaurant. View all feedback.
We dropped in here for a beer after golf. We ended up eating. I had a rueben with fry which was great. Our server was excellent. If you are in the area drop in and give it a try.
I recently met with some friends here for lunch and was not disappointed. The service was excellent, friendly and courteous, the beer selection was decent and the food was delicious. I'm definitely going back. Also they have a patio. About a block away from the water. Huge points there if you happen to be in town in the spring/summer time. All in all, a great experience.
Not fancy but a friendly neighbourhood pub. Heard the burgers are good..although I did not taste them personally. Wings and fries are good. They have a great connection with a bakery...cake was terrific!
Friday night is fish and chips. This night we decided to venture out away from our usual haunts. We stopped at Queens guard on the edge of Chippawa, a little British style pub. Well we were not disappointed. The staff we'r'e amazing,.We immediately were made to feel like a regular. They had a good assortment of domestic and imported drinks. We of course ordered the fish'n'chip dinner and after the first bite we knew we found our new Friday night home.I was amazing. We talked with a few of the regular crowd and the response was the same ...they have have never had a bad meal. That's good enough honest feedback for me. The prices were very reasonable and i didn't feel tourist gouged at all.
This little piece of heaven was just 100 yds from our B & B so we could walk there quite easily. My wife and I spent many happy evenings enjoying a refreshing pint of Fullers London Pride & Bud Light!!!The menu is limited but the food is cooked to perfection and very tasty. It wouldn't be right if I didn't give a mention to three of the staff who in particular looked after us, Judy, Magda and of course the irrepressible Erin. Thank you ladies for making our Canadian stay so much more memorable.
