Issues with reservations and inexperienced servers were common. The food quality varied, with some dishes being undercooked, over salted, or poorly presented. Overall, Montana's seems to struggle with consistency and management at this location, despite positive past experiences at other branches. It may be hit or miss, especially during peak seasons in tourist areas like Niagara Falls.
Avoid at all costs! Waited 15 minutes for drinks after ordering to then be told they had run out of the one we ordered. Waited further 10 minutes for new order. Food took 50 mins to arrive , twice we tried to get attention of waiter to find out what the delay was but both times he said he would be back in a minute but never arrived. Food was average at best , probably because we were so hungry by the time it arrived rancid horse meat would have been average. Prior to our order arriving table at the side of us got food but no knives and forks! Definitely understaffed.
Worst food ever! I got takeout and not only did they give me the wrong order. Who wants to eat this?! I got a pasta and received over cooked noodles that tasted like water. And the Garlic bread was a piece of pre sliced bread not even toasted with no garlic and a slice of cheese on it. Sorry but if a restaurant messes up simply pasta, I wouldn’t want to eat anything else! I added the parm on the pasta and that didn’t even fix it. Only thing they did right was give me two free cookies! Super unhappy and now have to go spend money again to eat. Waste of $35
Wish I read the reviews before entering this place. Highly disappointed and it put me off eating any BBQ or steaks for good. The starter fried pickles and beers were the only decent things in this place. The table next to ours also experienced some screw up with the order and this should be a warning sign to leave. Anyways.... The main course (sirloin steak) arrived cold and without garlic butter I asked for. I had to send it back. We wanted to have medium, but it was completely overdone (to the driest possible level). The waiter took the plate back and said that they'll put it on grill (ohhh lord! This of course made it even more dry.... No comment). On top of that, I haven't received my complete meal back (the coleslaw was missing and replaced with some weird pie I haven't even asked for). Seriously? .... When I got the plate back, which I thought was accidentally mixed with someone's order I was speechless and my appetite was gone for good. This looked like some pale of trash or mix of stuff from other's people not finished plates, that instead of ending up in a trash can, went on my plate..... The weiter apologized, took 10% off the bill and added a free beer with some cheap ice cream cookie (fair enough). Nevertheless I left disgusted, angry and hungry. Never again.
We visited this place on Wednesday evening before Canada Day weekend. It was mid afternoon and wasn't too busy when we came in. The bartender seated us, I wish he was our server as this is when things went downhill. First, our server took quite a while to even come take our drink order, and then I'd say it was almost 15 minutes before we got them. Our food took a while, and i could tell it sat under a heat lamp for a bit. There was no table touch until halfway through the meal. Montanas is one of our favorite franchises, and this was definitely let down, unfortunately.
Clifton hill has bustling. Could see lineups and crowd every where. Hard to find a descent place to dine. Decided to settle here. Nachos were good. My striploin was perfectly done and I loved the her butter. Did try their ribs from my friends plate. Marinade was bit sweet for me. Service was slow but not bad considering the crowds and waits every where.
