The picture shown is not this restaurant. Also Double D is closed after being raided for drugs twice in less than a month. I don't know if it will re-open. Shame the place had great food and was always busy.
We found this restaurant on Trip Advisor and had to try it. We like the 'Home Cooked' food so well, we went twice. Friendly and so reasonably priced. My husband loves Liver and Onions and she cooked the best he ever had. I had the Chicken Parm, then next time her Lasagna, both excellent. This is a hidden gem in Niagara Falls City.
Following tripadvisor's recommendations in Niagara falls, we traveled to one of the top-rated places only to find it closed. In the dead of winter with temperatures twelve below zero, we decided to randomly walk into a bar (no awful pun(s) intended) and grab a bite to eat before setting out for the falls. Unfortunately, the bar served only alcohol (at 2pm in the afternoon?!), but the genial locals kindly pointed us in the direction of this place. Walking in, we were served with the most sumptuously satisfying french onion soup this side of Paris. Following that, a massive pork loin, cooked to perfection rounded off a fantastic meal, giving us just the kick we needed to tackle the antarctic temperatures at the falls later. Friendly and hilarious staff added greatly to the experience too. I would certainly recommend this place to any visitor who has the time to escape the kitschy chain-ridden tourist district. Make a drive down to this place and enjoy a wonderful meal.
