What Marcia Hand doesn't like about Diner On The Lane:
We recently dined at this restaurant and found the food to be average. It did not have the same home-cooked flavor that we were expecting, despite its appearance. View all feedback. What Merle Morar likes about Diner On The Lane:
We only wanted breakfast and I didn't have much of an appetite. But the service and food were both very good. The attendants sorted out the confusion between the free-breakfast cards the adjacent hotel gave us without unnecessary fuss as well as serving our orders without flaw. read moreThe Diner on the Lane offers a mixed experience, with a cozy blue/gray interior lacking the charm of its previous 1950's theme. While drinks may fall short, the food impresses with beautifully poached eggs and generous portions. Prices are reasonable and the service is generally friendly, though the menu can be confusing. The breakfast options are particularly recommended, with tasty dishes like the club house sandwich and corned beef hash receiving praise. Despite occasional inconsistencies and a lack of crowds, this spot proves to be a hidden gem for those who stumble upon it, offering a satisfying dining experience overall.
