What kzutter doesn't like about Continental Pancake House:
I don't know what was wrong. The restaurant was recommended by a good source and has general good reviews. The potatoes tasted like they were deep fried in rancid oil, same with the eggs. The pancakes where tough, the bacon was over-cooked. It looked like there was only one cook staff on duty so we did not think any recourse was available, so we just left after eating what we could. A gem of a find. ? Family friendly and recommended by the guy at one of the other nice restaurants. Food was excellent quantity and quality. Worst experience we had in Niagara. Service was horrible. Waited over an hour and a half for bad food. No one there cared at all or tried to make it right. When other customers even noticed and stuck up for us, the waitress did nothing. I’ve since contacted the restaurant and left other reviews. No response to my emails. They commented on my google review that they’re looking into it. That was weeks ago and they stopped responding. Ruined our last morning of vacation because we spent the entire morning stuck in this bad restaurant. After looking through other reviews I saw we are not the only ones who have had this experience. Countless similar write ups. Makes me question the validity of their good reviews. I wanted to help out a locally owned small business but instead got taken advantage of. Avoid this place.
Looked for a homey place for breakfast. Ratings showed us this place. Very generous portions, quick service and really good food. Polite ladies working there. Friendly atmosphere. Will go again when I come back on vacation again.
Simply one of the best places to have a great meal to start your day. Never had anything but the best experience in all our visits (service and food outstanding)
Our first visit was 22 years ago and never forgot how great the breakfast and staff were. Fast forward to August 2nd, 2017; my wife and I knew exactly where we had to have breakfast and Continental Pancake house you were our choice. It was as if we went back in time and the food was just the way we remember it. Portions were great and we didn’t leave hungry. Thank again and hope we don't wait as long for our next visit.
