What Ian Becker doesn't like about The Buzz Eatery and Bar:
Very bad experience. When entering the only worker behind the bar held his head buried in his cell phone. We ordered Parmigiana chicken and also a coke zero and a big flat white. No coke zero, actually just a choice between two soft drinks. The big flat white came in a small cup. When I asked if it was a big one, I was told me to say it. When I asked why another customer had a big cup, I was told that the cafe has only a large cup for use !! I asked him then to confirm that the one I had to believe. Unfortunately, Parmigiana meals were also very common, and the "salad" was only very tired salad. No wonder there were only three other people there, and no one (except the waiter). Oh - and he still had his cell phone glued with his face. Avoid this place.
Has only a hunger breakfast that opened. We were welcomed by an incredibly friendly waiter, who would like to offer their own recommendations. The ambience of the Buzz Restaurant is rustic with a spacious bar in the front and a vintage Newtown back veranda, which I believe that patrons offers opportunity to smoke too. We ordered the leg thrash Eggs Benedict, chicken and avocado salad, a warm cup of coffee and a fresh mint, pineapple and limestone juice. The eggs were perfectly cooked with a soft outer and a running center. The chicken on the salad was grilled well while the absolute highlight was the juice that was sweet, sour and refreshing. The food took about 20 minutes to arrive, but it was worth waiting - coffee arrives within 5 minutes. We will definitely return.

Very bad experience. Upon entering, the only worker behind bar kept his head buried in his mobile. We ordered chicken parmigiana and also a Coke Zero and a large flat white. No Coke Zero, in fact only a choice of TWO soft drinks. The large flat white came in a small cup. When I asked whether it was a large, I was told it was. When I asked why another customer had a large cup, I was told the cafe only has one large cup for use!! I then asked him to confirm the one I had was just a regular (which I know is as I have been here previously), I was then told there are various sizes for large and he considers the smaller cup large also!! Unbelievable. Unfortunately, the parmigiana meals were also very ordinary, and the salad only consisted of very tired looking lettuce. No wonder there were only three other people there, and none (except the waiter) was eating. Oh and he still had his mobile glued to his face. AVOID THIS PLACE.
A typical Newtown establishment. Wholesome food cooked to a high standard. Efficient and friendly service all at a good price.
