**A Culinary Experience at Pistou: Newtown's Hidden Gem** Nestled at the quieter end of King Street in Newtown, Pistou offers a cozy atmosphere paired with attentive service and an impressive selection of wines. Diners rave about the delectable food, highlighting dishes like the steak tartare and wild mushroom farfalle as must-tries. While some patrons express concerns over high prices for portion sizes, many agree that the overall experience—including the knowledgeable staff and inviting ambiance—makes it worthwhile. Whether for a casual dinner or a special event, Pistou is a delightful spot that consistently delivers memorable culinary moments.

The food is excellent and truly authentic. The atmosphere is warm and laid-back. The owner is exceptionally friendly. You can drop by just for an aperitif and share a delicious platter of cheese or cured meats, or you can indulge in a complete meal. And we can't forget about their profiteroles! Such a disappointing experience for what was a nice little local we liked going to. Not any more. Popped in for a wine and snack. Ordered steak tartare $32 and asked if we wanted crackers or bread to accompany. Opted for bread. Charged an additional $8 for bread.. so a $40 for an overly salted small snack that you needed to mix yourself more expensive than any 5 star restaurant I have had this at and much poorer quality. Over priced for what it is and not great service. Service: Dine in

I love Pistou! It has such a charming vibe, tucked away at the end of South King St. Absolutely delicious food. Had the scallops and mushroom farfadelle, exquisite flavours and so tender. Great wine recommendations and friendly, knowledgeable service. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
