News Cafe - Newtown

I went their to have a pub lunch but nothing did grab me on the menu. This was the old Newtown previously. so left because downstair is even more limited.

Had a business friend in town went here for a lunch and was totally surprised at service and food, and the location was also great sitting outside upstairs on the balcony, recommend to anyone

A small cafe that looks like something from the 80's. Next to the Dendy Cinemas it is perfect for a quick cuppa. It could do with a refurbishment but that just make it another trendy cafe rather than a blast from the past.

Hot, creamy and delicious coffee. The espresso and long black is just right. The house blend is a mid range commercial brand however, the baristas can really work the espresso machine. The coffee is consistent, not awesome one day and so-so the next day. Might not look it but, one of the best cafes in Newtown, better than a lot of those trendy ones.They do a decent pot of tea. The egg and bacon roll with 2 kinds of mustard on turkish bread is yum. The haloumi sandwich is pretty good too. The desserts are very ordinary, the usual vanilla slice, black forest etc.The staff members are friendly and most importantly, they listen to customers requests.

We popped into Newscaf Espresso because we were going to Dendys, it was drizzling with rain and it was very convenient for the Cinema. Well, what a pleasant surprise, the staff were very welcoming, the seating comfortable and the menu, whilst not huge, was very well prepared and fresh. The Pumpkin Soup was delicious with a generous helping of Bread and the Chorizo and Egg on Turkish Bread excellent. Prices are very fair and we can certainly recommend for good quality satisfaction.
