Was Perry B at Marly Kitchen a mag?
The good ole Marly was beautifully- air conditioned on an incredibly hot late afternoon in mid March and was just the place for my friends and I to procure a much-needed drink or two. The atmosphere was electric inside and the waiting staff hospitable and welcoming. Excellent indeed. View all feedback.

What Oliver M dislikes about Marly Kitchen:
We were meant to attend a booking at 7:30, we understand during covid that numbers are hard but don’t offer bookings if you can’t cater to the people who make bookings? We made a booking for 7:30 and we’re waiting in line for ages after being told “someone will come grab you because you have a booking”. We got to the front of the line and we’re told “your booking was for 7:30 and it’s now 8:30” we did wait in line fo... View all feedback.

Marly is my regular burger joint for the awesome Buttermilk Fried Chicken burger, cheap drinks from the nearby Marlborough and an exciting match of football or cricket. Marly Kitchen is housed in the beautiful Marlborough Hotel. Designed in the Art-Deco architectural style, the hotel was part of an important group of interwar hotels situated along King Street. The hotel is colloquially known by Newtowners as the Marley and hence, the burger bar is known as "Marly Kitchen." The buttermilk fried chicken burger is an underrated creature which is a monster in flavours and texture. First of all, the burger bar uses chicken thigh. The chicken thigh is perfectly fried - Crispy on the outside and juicy and succulent inside. The chicken thigh is lightly coated with salt and spices which enhances its flavour. I wonder why very, very few burger bars use chicken thigh even though chicken breast meat is more expensive. And this is one reason why most chicken burgers taste flat and soggy! Second, the brioche milk bun. The soft and fluffy bun complements with the crispy chicken thigh flawlessly. The bun is lightly toasted and applied with a thin layer of butter. Third, the fries. Try their beer battered fries. Even though it tastes exactly the same as the ones from Coles and Woolworths. My only peeve was the cheese which was not toasted and hard. And probably it's closing soon ????????

Marly Kitchen have nightly specials and aside of this, their portion sizes of the usual pub fare are pretty well generous. Well trodden, Marly Bar and Marly Kitchen fall middle of the range pub wise, and at times the food can be good if you can handle the smell of the place. The vegetarian nachos do not lack on flavour, and are pretty heavy on cheese. The Korean Fried chicken moist and juicy, but doesnt hold much flavour outside of the dipping sauce. The marly burger nails all the internal elements making the bun a disappointing let down from the hardened crumbly texture - If you've got the beefy, tangy insides it's milk bun or none. crumbs-au.com

I asked for help from security because a bunch of Indian boys were harassing me, touching me and pushing me around front of the stage last night. I seeked assistance from secutity who saw what happened, and decided to ignore it. I turned to his colleuge, and this person on the photo told me he isn 't willing to confront those people involved. If you go to the dancefloor get used to it I left the club Sad reality check...these uneducated and unprofessional security guards do more damage than good.
