Phoebe is the most friendly bartender in newtown! She was very attentive to our group and remembered our drinks! Drinks were great, it is a chill space and the music held an amazing vibe. Overall, would recommend! Cheers to phoebe!!! Give her a raise! View all feedback.
What Angel Lockman doesn't like about Marlborough Hotel:
I was pleasantly surprised with the new vego/vegan options available. The tofu burger was surprisingly substantial the tofu patty was firm, crunchy and harmonising with the chilli sauce. The eggplant schnitzel was fail safe however the mash was quite lumpy and lukewarm. Although the boiled veggies made me feel less guilty, it did not provide me the guiltily pleasure I had hoped for. Marlborough is one of my favourite pubs in Sydney to gobble a couple of drinks and get drunk. This is also a regular meeting place for several of my buddies who live further inner west. I have got great memories here: the toilet cubicle locks were perpetually faulty and I always bumped into some guy defecating when I swung the door inwards ???? It is still faulty and I caught another chap defecating this afternoon ???????? Sorry, I'm not a peeping tom but it is a nature call, yeah! Recent news that John Singleton's Australian Pub Fund has sold the hotel to celebrity chef Matt Moran and his business partners for $30 million has gotten me really worried that the sale may spell the end of cheap drinks and a community sacred site. So, go before it's gone!

I am making a complaint, I came to the the marlborogh hotel at ~12:45 wednesday (24th may) morning, I was not intoxicated and gave official NSW
What a let down for both food and serviceLast time here for dinner was about three years ago Had a steak then as I did tonight.
An average, overpriced pub with only the faintest hint of individuality. Few would go out of their way to go here, so it's a shame it's so well located.
