I have never wanted to take the time to write a negative review on any business before. But not writing one is just not fair for other businesses who are busting their asses. We went to Iberico for a friends' birthday last night. Ten of us arrived at 7:30 and ordered around 8pm, but did not get our food until two hours later around 10, and the restaurant was very empty for a friday night...Everyone was starving and so angry at the service. The manager/owner? came up after an hour or so to explain it was because we ordered main dishes and they took time, and we said no problem. After another hour or so, she came up and explained that it is slow because two of our other friends came at 8 and ordered two more dishes....? Seriously?! The food was not even mediocre... As a vegetarian who specifically order potato and corn soup, I got a piece of chicken in my soup... No words... Everyone commented about never wanting to go back. So not professional
40min after we ordered we checked in on our food as we'd notice a table that got there 30min after us had already started to get their food (the place was not even half full). We were told ours would be there in 3min no apology for the delay apparently they were busy (!) What we got was below average and tasteless and it was only 3 tapes out of 6. When the rest of our food arrived about an hour after ordering it was either not cooked, overcooked or tasteless. We literally got off the table without finishing the food as it was so late by this time we were over it. When we went to pay the bill we complained again and received no apologies but told again they were busy and the seafood took a long time to cook! They agreed to take 2 dishes off the bill because we didn't touch them. I asked what she would do to compensate for the bad service and having to wait an hour for food and was told nothing not even the $2.50 bread would come off the bill even though she then finally acknowledged that we waited too long for our food. She did try and tell me that our food was cooked properly though even though shed not eaten it! Sad thing is we were in a hurry and hungry and Newtown was quiet we could have picked from many places. I saw their overall Zomato rating and thought they would be ok but now I have read all the reviews and it seems many people have had terrible experiences there. Don't waste your time money or energy. These people should shut shop and find something else in life to do that they're actually good at.

The staff at this restaurant are truly exceptional. They are extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and the tapas dishes are authentic. The wine list is extensive and impressive - I ended up purchasing a bottle of Riesling, which I didn't think I would enjoy, but I was pleasantly surprised. The staff are happy to let customers sample a glass of any wine before committing to a bottle, and they even leave the bottle open to offer it to other diners. This is a great way for people to share and experience different wines while they are still fresh. I wish I lived closer to this place so I could visit more often. Truly amazing staff.
This restaurant in Sydney is one of my favorites, and not as well known, making it a hidden gem for wine enthusiasts. The food is delicious and I appreciate the opportunity to sample different wines before making a selection. It's great for those who enjoy trying new things and is perfect for a light meal paired with wine. The bar seating arrangement is best suited for groups of two as it can be difficult to converse in larger groups.
