Love this place. Very well priced. The staff are lovely. Possibly the most popular cafe servicing many of the local Newtown shop owners each day. Great selection of typical brekky/lunch options. It's not fancy fare but rather things like bacon and egg roll, hamburger, salad sandwiches, croissants. This one visor I had definitely cannot do it justice as it's not store made but when I was visiting a friend here, the waitstaff here are really nice!Will certainly drop by for a feed next time :
My favorite place to go in Newtown for their big breakfast. The staff are super friendly... even remembering us after not going there for a few months. Prices are good and the food is delicious. Good for small groups or just on your own.
Chicken wraps and banana bread here are the best! Super duper friendly staff and really great food, best place to eat in Sydney! Could not recommend more
I've dropped by the Funky Monkey a couple of times. Being at the Southern end of Newtown it's easier to find parking, especially during morning peak hour just when the morning munchies hit. The coffee is always good, service with a smile but the big discovery is their omelettes. I think I've found the most PERFECTLY cooked omelette in the world! Really! They are that good. If you don't believe me, try one yourself.
I can't comment on the food as I haven't eaten here but they make a good coffee. They seem to have regular clients and the staff are very friendly. Prices look reasonable.
