PJ's is the best Irish Pub in Sydney, we had a great time, enjoyed the craic, well worth it for a meal, or just drinks. service was authentic Irish, very friendly, food excellent, and great atmosphere. Highly recommend for a fun time. View all feedback.
What Brandi Robel doesn't like about Dumpling King:
For a place that calls the dumpling king, I expected much better. At first, there are only 4 dumpling varieties from which you can choose, and you can not mix and match - its 8 or 12 and that's it.
Second, the dumplings are gluggy, much too doughy and flavlos. I tried to improve them with the classic 2-1 soy and vinegar combination without success.
I also ordered chicken and corn soup, which I could literally touch... View all feedback.

For a place calling itself the Dumpling King, I was expecting a lot better. First of all there are only 4 dumpling varieties to choose from and they won't let you mix and match - its 8 or 12 and that's it. Secondly the dumplings are gluggy, way too doughy and flavourless. I tried improving them with the classic 2-1 soy and vinegar combination to no avail. I also ordered chicken and corn soup which I literally could only touch after 10 minutes - took that long to cool down, way too hot - and again flavourless and had the consistency of overcooked porridge. The real killer for me was that when I asked for the bill the waitress got angry, said she was busy cleaning the tables and told me to pay at the counter. Just unacceptable. 1.5 points only because I didn't get food poisoning.
A group of us went and I ordered the pan fried pork dumplings. They were dry and tasteless and left a bad texture in your mouth after eating them.
Visiting from Melbourne and honestly the worse food I've tasted in a local Chinese restaurant. Dumplings are not even handmade and soft, can taste the thin and hardness of the skin of the dumplings meaning they were bought instead of handmade. Definitely not worth the $12.80. The salt and pepper eggplant, was a bit better. However, way way too much salt. Didn't even bother to finish it because it was that salty. It's like the chef just dumped a whole heap of salt onto the fried egg plants.
Lovely place to go for some cheap and cheerful Chinese food! The food was hearty and very satisfying, and the restaurant was cosy with quick service. I love the sides from this place, they are so tasty!! All I really needed was a plate of dumplings and some of those potato and seaweed sides and I was set. But of course I tried some of the other dishes and I found the squid quite delightful also. Everything was worth trying so you won't be let down with any of the choices.
