Really love live music and that there are some venues in Sydney that are doing this. We stopped in for a quick drink. My mate had a darker beer, and I had a pilsner. The vibe is good, kind of a relaxed sort of rustic living room thing going on. I'll have to try the food sometime. andyquan.com

Dimmy lit lighting with dark wooden furniture and dark walls to create that mysterious vibe, as you walk into this inner city bar. At the back of the bar, there used to be couches but now replaced with long gorilla dining table to cater for a larger group of people. The one thing I love about this place is... You can sit at this bar drink and play board games as if you're at a friend's place drinking. Such a laxed atmosphere! The food menu is simple but tasty and perfectly accompanies the drinks, and reasonably priced, though I'm always astounded at how the humble snack like fries with aioli can fetch premium price of $10! Like hello? What is it made out of? Truffle? Anyhow... The coolness of the bar is worth a visit. You don't have to eat here! Just come and soak in the atmosphere and the hipster vibe of Newtown.
