Was 민형 국 at Belljar a mag?
I discovered this fantastic small cafe while searching for new places to try with a friend. It was excellent! I had a delicious lox, bagel, and cream cheese with mint, while my friend enjoyed an equally amazing meal. The café is quaint with only a few tables, and customers stand to get their coffee. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They don't have a website, so you'll have to take my word for it and give... View all feedback.

What Colton Hoppe dislikes about Belljar:
If you like weak watery coffee, with sullen service akin to Sylvia Plath in her darkest moments then this place is for you. So many better places within easy walking distance should tell you to 'walk on by'. View all feedback.

I live approximately 1 minute from this cafe, hence why I choose to visit over some of the other better known (packed) cafes in the area. In a suburb with some very steep competition and coffee snobs galore, Belljar still does the trick. Prices are average for Newtown, if you want a good strong coffee then order a double, that never fails. I've had breakfast here once, bacon and egg roll. It was average cafe fare, much the same as you would get anywhere else. I like that it's constantly got customers but it's never that busy. Comfortable place to sit down or grab takeaway.

With such close proximity to very impressive cafe's it's hard to justify a visit. Head to the wolf and honey bee for a quick coffee, west Juliet's for a meal and coffee alchemy for a full blown coffee experience.

I live just a minute away from this café, which is why I decided to try it out instead of the other popular (and crowded) cafes in the area. Despite the fierce competition and abundance of coffee snobs in the suburb, Belljar manages to stand out. The prices are average for Newtown, but if you want a good, strong coffee, then ordering a double is always a safe bet. I had breakfast here once, opting for the speck and egg roll, and it was about the same price as any other café. I appreciate that the café always has customers, but it never feels too crowded. It's a comfortable place to either sit and enjoy your coffee or take it to go.
