Was 민형 국 at Belljar a mag?
I discovered this fantastic small cafe while searching for new places to try with a friend. It was excellent! I had a delicious lox, bagel, and cream cheese with mint, while my friend enjoyed an equally amazing meal. The café is quaint with only a few tables, and customers stand to get their coffee. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They don't have a website, so you'll have to take my word for it and give... View all feedback.

What Colton Hoppe dislikes about Belljar:
If you like weak watery coffee, with sullen service akin to Sylvia Plath in her darkest moments then this place is for you. So many better places within easy walking distance should tell you to 'walk on by'. View all feedback.

We thoroughly enjoyed having coffee and a sandwich for lunch. The service was excellent and the coffee phenomenal

Found this great little cafe as my girlfriend and I were looking for new places to try... it was great! Coffees were fantastic. Had a lox, bagel and cream cheese with mint (who’d thunk and my girlfriend had an equally amazing meal. It’s a small...cafe, only a couple of tables, and people stand outside to get their coffees but everyone is just lovely and so helpful. They don’t have a website so just take my word for it and take a chance... worth the try! The food is just delicious. I will be back

Seating at the back, really popular with the younger crowd. Good coffee, great service, good selection

My daughter had a bacon and egg sandwich with BBQ sauce on sourdough bread. The bacon was cooked perfectly crispy, and the sourdough bread had a nice flavor. It was a bit odd that she was given a butter knife to eat with. I had the salmon on sourdough, which came with boiled egg, rocket, and capers. The combination was good, although the egg was a bit overpowering. I was provided with a knife and fork, which I ended up giving to my daughter. The coffee was nice, and the fresh-squeezed apple juice was excellent. We realized that the bench was actually meant for seating when someone sat on the other end and our breakfast rocked. This was to be expected in such a small corner cafe. Overall, I would recommend giving it a try if you're in the area.

I live just a minute away from this café, which is why I decided to try it out instead of the other popular (and crowded) cafes in the area. Despite the fierce competition and abundance of coffee snobs in the suburb, Belljar manages to stand out. The prices are average for Newtown, but if you want a good, strong coffee, then ordering a double is always a safe bet. I had breakfast here once, opting for the speck and egg roll, and it was about the same price as any other café. I appreciate that the café always has customers, but it never feels too crowded. It's a comfortable place to either sit and enjoy your coffee or take it to go.
