I have been eating at Villa Capri for more than 20 years. Today Mike and crew catered a family event for us. The food was delicious, everything arrived on time and hot, and the meal ended up being the the talk of the party. I would highly recommend them if you are having a get-together or if your in newton looking for a bite to eat! Thanks again guys! View all feedback.
What Chuck Mound doesn't like about Villa Capri Pizzeria:
Hunting Pizza for the Pizza Hunters App. Had a Grandma Slice and a Regular Slice. The crust was ok, cheese and sauce average at best. Very little oil added to the grandma. Gerry had the plain slice and was not a fan. Looks like they do a good local business in Sussex County, but would not be a contender for top in NJ. View all feedback.
Great service. Great tasting food. Portions are a little light. I ordered a veal parm platter. It's enough to fill you up but some of the pizza places around here give me a big enough portion that I can I have the leftover for lunch the next day, and do it at the around the same price. Still, I don't want to take away a star because the food is delicious. As for service, I had one experience here where I pocked up food and they forgot part of my order. I called them and they had someone drive over to deliver the forgotten item. I live at least 10 minutes away.
The pizza was great, the garlic knots were burned and while they offer delivery to the brewery they phone from outside while several other restaurants bring orders in. Guess they don't know how loud it is inside to try and answer the phone. Also, paper plates and napkins would have been nice. I'll call the other pizzeria next time!
I keep asking myself why do I keep coming here? The pizza isn?t great, and the owner (or co-owner) is a tool. Today when I stopped in for lunch the owner began screaming at one of his workers, eff this and eff that. There were young children in the dining room and didn?t need to hear this kind of language. A fellow customer decided to ask him to keep it down, but the owner retreated to the kitchen and wouldn?t come out. Then the owner kept peeking around the corner into the dining room and after 10 minutes or so finally approached the customer, but with an attitude and said, ?is there something that you wanted?? The customer responded that he was only looking for him to tell him to tone down his language since there were children in the dining room by which the owner replied, ?our back door is busted and we?re a little on edge?we?re not perfect.? No apology, only an excuse. Sadly, I?ve seen this type of behavior multiple times. I?m done with this place, too much drama and nastiness towards the employees. Later!!

Stopped in for a slice, first time in a long time. Pizza ok, still unprofessional staff. Person making pies, eating while preparing pies.
