Marty's Fine Wines - Newton

Please note that my review does not contain information about the purchase of the comparison. My goal was to get a certain bottle and I didn't have enough time to compare several products. My rating is based on two things: staff and selection. When I went to the store, at least two of the staff recognized me and wished for a good day. When I checked out, the checkout was polite and also offered fabric paper for a gift bag I had bought. That's all a person wants and I appreciated the kind feeling. Marty's choice was solid. As I mentioned, I was looking for a certain bottle, in this case rum. The number of shops outside the 30-40 minutes with a bottle was almost unavailable. Marty's selection is expansive and well designed (thanks to the labels instead of checking groups of bottles). Overall, only a solid experience from a memory that was a manageable distance.

Great place to get alcohol and other treats. People are nice and they have many possibilities.

Deep selection, competent help (although you need to find it)

My favorite place in Newtonville and ONE OF my faves in bigger Boston. Amazing beer selection, very good prices on some items, fun and delicious imported sweets and more. I just visited here a few times, but I wish I had more time to search! TY!!!

I picked up a couple of four packs of craft beer and an Ashton cigar. The beer selection is pretty good, no complaints there. The cigar, which I smoked not long after I left the store was very dry and the wrapper cracked when I used my punch cutter on it. I smoked less than a third of it before it got too acrid due to the dryness. Not good considering the cost of the cigar. I think they need to check the humidity level occasionally.
