What Daniel Costa doesn't like about Karoun:
This was my first time as part of a party of 20, and overall, a so-so experience. The positives were good food and atmosphere, especially the belly dancing. Negatives: Too expensive for the type of food served. The wait staff was not the friendliest and the men's bathroom was poorly lit and not in good shape overall. No repeat visit for me. Karoun will be closing in late June after 40 years of operation. The building block has been sold.
Very friendly place. You don't go there for the food or drinks but to enjoy the atmosphere. They will be closing this location at the end of June 2017.
The food was mediocre and a bit on the expensive side. However, service was excellent! I definitely felt treated well!
Karoun's is a lot of fun. Especially on weekend evenings when they have the belly dancers. The dancers are very family friendly and lots of people go for events like birthday parties and just to enjoy. But the food is only pretty good. Not really exceptional. And that brings it down to 4 stars instead of 5 stars. But still I'd really recommend it.
