Del Frisco’s Grille is the more casual counterpart to their other properties, the Double Eagle Steakhouses. The space is modern and the large windows let in a lot of natural light. They have a great room in the back for private parties and there is a huge parking lot out back, so you have none of the hassles the city. View all feedback.
The other night, we had a fantastic dinner at the bar at Del Frisco's Grille in Chestnut Hill, just outside the city. Everything we tried was incredible, starting with the addictive Blistered Shishito Peppers ($11) seasoned with togarashi and yuzu, giving them a unique Japanese chili pepper and citrus flavor. We also enjoyed the delightful Ahi Tuna Tacos ($14), which came with avocado and a spicy citrus mayo. The tuna was remarkably fresh, and the crispy shells were the perfect complement. The cocktail featured in the photo was also a fun addition to our meal.
When you think of Del Frisco's, the first thing that comes to mind is steak. However, the new Del Frisco's Grille, which has been open for two years in Chestnut Hill (33 Boylston St), caters to both carnivores and omnivores. As you enter Del Frisco's, you'll notice a small hostess stand and sleek modern stairs. If you’ve already had enough exercise for the day, there’s a convenient elevator to your left. Once you reach the upper level, you’re welcomed by stunning views of the lake.
Del Frisco's has a reputation for its great steak selection, but with their new lunch menu, they now cater to all dietary needs, including gluten-free options! If you're in the area, it's a reliable spot for lunch, offering a diverse array of American cuisine. The only reason I’m giving them a lower rating is because their service could use some improvement. I noticed that the diners next to me waited over half an hour for their food. They were compensated for the delay, which was nice, but it was still a frustrating experience and impacted my overall impression of the restaurant. It may have just been an off day in the kitchen.
I 've been a fan of both Del Frisco 's and Del Frisco 's Grille for a long time (their steaks and crabcakes are some of the best in Boston), and so I was excited to try out the new lunch menu at the Chestnut Hill location. When many people think of a steakhouse, they think large portions of meat and seafood with hearty sides. While Del Frisco 's Grille does offer some of these on the lunch menu, they also feature a lot of delicious lighter alternatives including flat breads, sandwiches, entree salads, and 'Grab a Pair ' a selection of items where you can choose two and mix and match (soups, salads, half sandwiches, etc).
Del Frisco 's Grille recently launched a lunch deal dubbed 'Grab a Pair '. For $12 you get your choice of : any personal size flat bread, half of a chicken avocado wrap, 2 fish tacos, or half of a banh mi. This will be served with your choice of mixed green salad, caesar salad, or cup of soup. If you want a flat bread with a kick to it, try the House made sausage and pepperoni flatbread (with fresh mozzarella, roasted tomato, parmesan)
