Nice, boutique cafe for morning tea and a catch up. Probably only seating for 10-15 inside and four out front - but lovely village green opposite. Coffee good b... read more Nice, boutique cafe for morning tea and a catch up. Probably only seating for 10-15 inside and four out front - but lovely village green opposite. Coffee good but seriously over-priced. Place is nicely fitted out, with cosy decor, art onn walls, and music in keeping with french theme.

Someone is making a lot... read more We have purchased dozens of great coffees all around Tasmania during our holiday but Le Cafe on St George is the most expensive by far. Someone is making a lot of profit out of coffee. The food is actually very good, service is OK, plenty of parking across the road. Table water is available at the counter. The cafe is very small and you hear everyone's conversation. We will go somewhere else to pay a fair price for a good coffee.

The Eggs Benedict I had yesterday were possibly the best I've ever tasted, with a superb hollandaise sauce. The coffee was strong, dark, and just right for my taste, while the staff were friendly and welcoming. I'm excited about returning to Launceston and visiting again!
