I visited Watergate Bay today and had lunch on the beach. While I was disappointed, the Veggie Burger was not available, the lady who served us was very apologetic and suggested I try the sausage buzz as they had some vegan sausages available, she was careful to use a vegan spread and the sausages were very delicious. The tea was also good and I love that they take their responsibility for the environment seriously. A very positive experience.
I was very happy to discover this cozy restaurant right on the beach during our visit last week. It is a popular spot during the busy season (I can't imagine many people would be on the beach in winter). They offer local, organic meats but also have great options for vegans. We tried the homemade beetroot tofu burger and it was delicious. Just make sure to clearly ask for the vegan version (which means omitting the mayo). They also have Clive's gluten-free cakes with ingredient lists available at the counter. I had a lovely conversation with a lady who was happy to show me the ingredients in my meal. They also offer vegan sausages (clearly marked) that can be enjoyed with beans or in a sandwich. A perfect snack when the beach breeze gets a bit chilly. We will definitely be returning.

I was thrilled to discover this charming restaurant right on the beach during our stay last week. It is a popular seasonal takeout spot (I can't imagine many people would be on the beach in the winter). They offer locally sourced, organic meat options as well as a variety of delicious vegan dishes. We tried the homemade beetroot tofu burger, which was absolutely delicious. Just make sure to specify that you want the vegan version (without mayo). They also have Clive's gluten-free pies available, with ingredient lists provided upon request. I had a pleasant conversation with a friendly staff member who was happy to show me the ingredients in the dishes. They also offer vegan sausages, clearly labelled and served with beans or in a sandwich. It's the perfect spot for a snack when the beach breeze gets a bit chilly. We will definitely be returning in the future.
Very pleased to find this small place right on the beach where we were last week. it is a seasonal time out (I cannot imagine that many people on the beach would be in winter.) they serve local organic meat, although they also offer some good options for vegans. we have enjoyed a homemade beet root tofu beet, which was quite delicious. they just have to be really clear to ask for the vegan version (which in the ground means leaving the mayo) they also do sticky gluten-free cakes and have the ingredients lists behind the counter. I had a chat with a nice lady there and she was happy to show me the ingredients so I knew what I got. they also serve vegan sausages there (which are marked.) they can have them with boring or in a sandwich. perfect for a snack when the wind at the beach gets a bit cool. we will definitely come back.
