We recently dined at a modern hotel restaurant/bar with a stunning sea view near Fistral beach. We were impressed that they accommodated our vegan request, which can be rare in Cornwall. The menu featured creative, international dishes, and we enjoyed the flavorful Laksa and the delicious Seaweed and sesame crusted tofu Asian salad. What Ashley Lee doesn't like about Lewinnick Lodge:
The menu offers some vegan options. Vegetarians can have roasts and tofu dishes, vegans have a somewhat limited choice and especially if they are gluten-free. Nevertheless, there is something to offer for everyone, even if it means that gf v starter must combine with a small plate shell and one side. I personally had rustic pommes with paprika and sushi roll, my partner had vegetarian roasts and he really enjoyed it.... View all feedback.
To share large “small plates”. many decisions for people like me, who are tolerable to milk. beautiful view of the windows.
Modern hotel restaurant/bar (pub) at a beautiful location and spectacular sea view, close to fistral beach, also beautiful walk ( terrace). vegan was no problem (rare in cornwall). very creative, international cuisine, we had an extremely tasty laksa (malaysian curried broth, vermicelli, broccoli, bok choy, bohnensprossen, cashews, coriander) and a fantastic seaweed and sesame combated tofu Asian salate (peanuts, granatapfel, sesam miso dressing). vegan sawne tee available (we will try next time). friendly staff. highly recommended! updated by previous review on 2020-07-19
The menu at this restaurant includes a few vegan options, though vegetarians have more choices including a roast and tofu dish. The selection for vegans, especially those who are gluten-free, is a bit limited. However, there is something for everyone, even if it means that gluten-free vegans may need to combine a starter with a small plate dish and a side. Personally, I had rustic fries with peppers and a sushi roll, while my partner enjoyed the vegetarian roast. The food was tasty and the portions were reasonable. Overall, it was a positive experience.
The restaurant offers a wide selection of tasty small plates that are perfect for sharing. They also cater to those with dairy intolerances with plenty of options to choose from. The views from the windows are lovely and add to the overall dining experience.
