Top French experience at Bert’s. From the moment you walk in, you feel the warm welcome and surrounded by classy elegant charm. Their menu boasts timeless French dishes, like delicate beef tartare and beautiful snapper. We absolutely love their signature dinner rolls, soft as pillows! Plus, they serve some of the best shoestring fries! Indulge in the perfect sweet finale: a luscious vanilla soufflé drizzled with stra... View all feedback.
What Consuelo Fritsch doesn't like about Bert's Brasserie:
will be good our experience was really bad this time it took 30 min to realize that they did not give us the actual menubrought our drinks to another table extremely unattentively organized pasta was good as eating, but does not make for the high cost for very bad service View all feedback.
Old school charm and waterfront views are two reasons to make the long trek to Bert's. Another reason? This double hanger steak, cooked over charcoal and served in a giant cast iron pan straight onto your table. It's a picture of magnificence, the steak charred to a deep caramelised crust on the outside.
Everything about this lunch was amazing, the ambiance, the interior styling, the service, meal and drinks. Would definitely recommend and go back many times!
Location, the view and the staff are on point! The food was pretty good if you're a fan of subtle yet delightful flavours. The only set back was that the staff communication let us down, as we asked for the leftovers to be pushed for takeaway, which they misunderstood.
Bert’s was well worth the drive from Sydney! I booked a table for my boyfriend and I to celebrate his birthday. He left feeling very full very spoiled. Bert’s delivered a beautiful meal and great service from very competent and friendly staff. We had a selection of fresh Sydney Rock oysters with Chardonnay mignonette, duck pappardelle, house made warm brioche fingers with chicken butter and trout roe, flame grilled king prawns, and a delicious 400g rib eye steak with smokey sage and garlic flavours, plus Dutch cream potatoes and shoestring fries on the side. I forgot to take pictures of the dessert (a little too keen when it arrived haha but the carrot and walnut bundt cake with sour cream sorbet (yum! and nutmeg was perfect. The apricot and peach frozen slice with gooey marshmallow on top was also such a treat! <br/ <br/ Great produce, well executed by the kitchen, lovely floor staff, a great selection of wines and cocktails to accompany, beautiful interiors and a lovely view. Definitely a memorable and special dinner. Thanks Bert’s!
Like they had never closed! Thank you to the whole team for looking after us now that we are out of lockdown. Yet again a brilliant long lunch of wonderful food and and fantastic, attentive knowledgeable staff in a beautiful setting. The hand picked mud crab was the standout for us and the caviar bumps are a great way to start. Probably our favourite overall restaurant experience in Sydney. Will be back whenever we can definitely need to book the Mirage motel next door whenever you come unless you live close by too far to taxi home!
