Outstanding service and delicious meals! Be sure to make a reservation in advance! Service: Dine-in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50
Customers must show proof of covid vaccination to make a reservation. My health history is private and should certainly not be required to eat out. I haven’t seen this anywhere else I’ve been.
The food was outstanding, but waiting three hours for a four-course meal was excessive. Having just one server for such a large group made things difficult. We were all seated at 6 PM, and our entrée didn’t arrive until 8 PM. While I enjoyed our time together, by 8 PM, I was ready to head home. After finishing dinner, cleaning up, having dessert, and settling the bill, we didn't leave until 8:55 PM. The corn chowder, salad, and lamb were all incredible, but the long wait felt like we were being held hostage. If you could manage the entire dinner service in two hours, it would be absolutely perfect!
Pretty cool place, I've never been to a place with a full course meal. The food was great and the service was great as well. The view was awesome as well and they gave us a wonderful evening. My only complaints would be price and parking, the price is understandable but me being somewhat poor,I won't be able to visit often and the parking was a little cramped. Vegetarian options: They had alternatives available if need be, all you have to do is ask. Kid-friendliness: Very friendly environment. Though it is a high class place so make sure your kids are well behaved! Parking: Parking was fairly poor if the place was busy when my family had gone we probably would have to do a little walking. Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible, in order to get to the dining area you have to go down some pretty steep stairs.
I have never had bad food here. It does surprise me they are still requiring proof of vaccination as they’re the only place I have seen in the state do it other then a stadium. This past experience took much longer then planned, anticipated, or experienced in the past. Dinner lasted over three hours. We were seated at 6:00 and didn’t get our check until about 9:20. The staff are friendly however, they could use more wait staff. There was one person and she was slow and not well educated about the food. In the past we have been told what we are eating and asked if we wanted to take home leftovers. I hate waste and when hearing the food would be thrown out she looked at me funny when I asked if I could take some. No clue what was in the salad or the dressing (it was delicious). In the past you would be told what was in the salad and what type of dressing. You were also told if any food came from their garden. She also couldn’t answer questions about food like what kind of flower was on the dessert. She was nice but the entire meal was slow. It would be nice to hear about the food again however I would still eat food here anytime because it literally is one of the best meals you will find on the coast!
Nestled near the coast, this restaurant offers a unique dining experience that is both delightful and occasionally frustrating. Guests rave about the exceptional food, including gourmet four-course meals featuring fresh ingredients and stunning presentations. However, recent management changes have led to longer wait times and the cancellation of dinner service. Some patrons express concern over vaccination proof requirements and diminished quality in recent visits. Despite these challenges, the friendly staff and inviting atmosphere continue to make it a popular choice among those seeking a memorable meal, especially when paired with beautiful ocean views. Reservations are a must!.

The food was excellent, but waiting three hours for a four-course meal was quite lengthy. Having only one server for so many guests was difficult to manage. We sat down at 6:00, but didn’t receive our entrée until around 7:00. I enjoyed the time spent socializing, but by 8:00, I was ready to head home. The dinner was delicious, but we were held up until 8:55 for dessert and the bill. The corn chowder, salad, and lamb were all fantastic. However, it felt like we were held hostage for too long. If you could streamline the dinner service to finish in two hours, it would be perfect!
Nice cooler place, I've never been to a place with a full cursor. the food was great and the service was also great. that was also great and they gave us a beautiful evening. my only complaining would be price and parking, the price is understandable, but I am a little poor, I will not be able to visit often and the parking lot was a little cramped.
The staff is friendly, but they could definitely use more people on the team. There was just one server, and she was slow and not very knowledgeable about the menu. In the past, we were given an overview of what we were eating and asked if we wanted to take leftovers home. I dislike waste, so when I heard that food was being thrown out, I asked if I could take something home, and she looked at me strangely. I had no idea what was in the salad or the dressing (which was delicious). Previously, they would inform us about the salad ingredients and the type of dressing used. We were also told if any ingredients came from their own garden. The server should have been able to answer questions about the food, like what type of flour was used in the dessert. She was nice, but the overall pace of the meal was slow. It would be great to hear about the food again, but I would still choose to eat here because it offers some of the best meals you'll find on the coast!
Another lovely dinner at Sylvia Beach Tables of Content. The hummus was made with fresh garbanzo beans, the naan/ pita bread was this amazing combo (I can?t remember the me of it), the lamb was cooked to perfection, the salad was so fresh and put pretty much every salad I?ve ever had to shame, and the almond cake was divine. The presentation of every dish was gorgeous, and the service was awesome as usual! A wonderful meal to end a rainy day!
You simply must go—the price for the four-course meal is excellent, the food is extraordinary, the staff is friendly and enjoyable, and it's a dining experience that can be wonderful whether you're alone or with a group! Plus, the view of the ocean is an added bonus! You would be missing out if you don’t check it out. Dinner begins at 6 PM, so make your reservation now!

Another nice dinner in Sylvia Beach Tables of Content. If you're in the area, particularly if you're staying at the Hotel Sylvia Beach, dining here is a must. We shared a table with two other couples we didn't know, and the engaging conversation continued all night. The food was outstanding as well! Breakfast is served in the same room the next morning, and while there's no selection, it is of high quality and substantial portions.
This restaurant was a delightful experience for my taste buds! My friends and I stayed at Sylvia Beach Hotel and made reservations at the hotel's restaurant, the Table of Contents. We were so glad we did! Each night brought a new culinary adventure, and we even extended our stay just to enjoy the four dinners available. On the first night, I had the chicken, and on the second, the duck—both were absolutely delicious! I highly recommend this place; the price for the four-course meals is fantastic, the food is exceptional, the staff is friendly and engaging, and it’s a wonderful experience whether you go solo or with friends. Plus, the ocean view is an added bonus! You really must check it out—you’ll be missing out on a joyful dining experience if you don’t. Dinner starts at 6:00, so be sure to make your reservation now!
We have been dining here for over thirty years, and the quality has remained exceptional. In fact, they were sourcing local ingredients long before it became a trend. The restaurant offers a four-course menu with options that typically include lamb, beef, pork, chicken, turkey, seafood, or vegetarian dishes. The salads are consistently outstanding. Recently, we enjoyed a delicious chocolate hazelnut cake drizzled with caramel sauce for dessert. They have a great selection of Oregon and international wines, all served in beautiful glassware, along with recommended pairings for the dishes. They also offer a tasting flight to complement the courses.
Consistently delicious meals featuring fresh locally-sourced seasonal ingredients, served by friendly staff. When I’ve dined here “in the before times” the seating was always 8-to-a-table, with an assortment of other guests, and we were encouraged to play a game known by the descriptive name “two truths and a lie” — each player makes three statements, and the other players try to guess which one is false. During the pandemic lockdown, they’ve changed things up a bit: limiting seating to one party per table, and requiring masks on staff and, when not eating, guests. The waitstaff and the kitchen are generally flexible and eager to help. Somewhere between the kitchen and the hotel upstairs, however, someone grows protective of the kitchen and deflects requests for what they consider to be too strict of dietary requirements. Sometimes this can come across as condescending or exclusionary, as when they told my wife — suffering from the weird complex of symptoms following her COVID infection last summer, know as long-haulers syndrome — “we like to celebrate food here, not cater to such stringent food restrictions.” For people with specific dietary needs, they and we both recommend Zach’s Bistro around the corner. If you’re able to eat more broadly without much concern for The details of the ingredients used (beyond their freshness and flavor), do reserve yourself a seat at the Table of Content.

We were invited by a local friend to try out this restaurant, and it was definitely a unique experience. The restaurant offers a rotating set menu that includes a starter, a choice of three main dishes, and a dessert. The tables are shared with other guests, but the groups aren’t too large; we were seated at a table of eight and had the pleasure of meeting some lovely people. In total, there were two tables of eight guests. The food was delightful, and there was a nice selection of beverages available. Additionally, there's a small gift shop on site.
I recommend you stick to the small plates. They were wonderful. The entree disappointed. Same veggies on it as small plates very fresh just with a piece of over sauced fish plunked on top. Repetitive and boring. Try to get a table upstairs overlooking the marina. Staff was professional and friendly.

The Tilly chicken and salad were both outstanding, a perfect 10 out of 10! I will definitely return!
