As I was admiring the decor, I overheard a woman tell another that her daughter had really grown up. I also listened to an older gentleman mention to a woman that he hadn't seen her in a while. These snippets of conversation piqued my interest, and I wanted to know more! So, I began to snap some photos while quietly moving toward the bar area. At one point, I asked an older woman nearby who they all were and why they were socializing. I started with a polite "good morning" and asked how she was doing. She graciously answered my questions. Just then, another older woman sitting nearby interjected in their conversation, although I couldn’t quite catch what was said. When the first woman resumed speaking, I introduced myself: "My name is Joseph. I'm taking some pictures." They asked if I was from the area, and I explained that I'm living at the old military campus in New Bloomfield, which has since been sold and is now part of the Aishel Talmudic University. The man sitting behind the older woman then asked how long I had been on campus. I replied that I had been there since June, to which he warmly welcomed me to Pennsylvania. Grateful for the friendly reception, I continued capturing the lively interactions around me, enjoying the heartfelt exchanges taking place. I became so engrossed in the conversations that I completely forgot to order my coffee and breakfast! Eventually, I realized I needed to head to the front to place my order. I left with some snacks and a heart full of joy from all the delightful conversations I had engaged in with the wonderful people there. I am so thankful that Bitting's on the Square is a place where families and friends come together!
