Bar and Board - Newport

We never met up on the second stage where they had live music on Friday night. everything was great. the restaurant weekly menu had a good selection of choices the filled chicken breast was a great recommendation. my son celebrated his birthday in her restaurant. we always try to eat there when we visit newport.

The service was great and so was the food. A very nice atmosphere too!

The service and the food was poor at best. My son received his dinner about 20 minutes after the rest of the table. The salmon was raw in the middle. The air conditioning was non-existent and their were flies circling the table. My wife noted the deplorable bathroom condition, so we got the high-priced check and got out of there. From a person who has lived in Newport for over 20 years, go to the Mooring, 22 Bowen, Smokehouse or any other place as this is not the place to have dinner. You may spend a little more, but it will be worth it. I would hope there would be a call back from management on this but I’m not holding my breath. Worst dining experience of the year.

Loved this restaurant ! The duck wings were incredible!!

Great ambiente, service and eating. our server was friendly, attentive and charming. our only complaint was the coffee that was terrible.
