The service was outstanding, and the hospitality was very welcoming. We will definitely return every time we are in Newport.

My wife thoroughly enjoyed the flavorful curry chicken with rice, peas, and veggies. I found the red peas stew to be satisfying, and it was accompanied by a side salad and peas and rice. Be sure to visit with a hearty appetite as the portions are generous, just like your favorite grandma would serve! The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the decor transported us to the Caribbean despite the chilly autumn evening.

This restaurant serves an excellent breakfast without the long wait or any hassle. The staff is friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The coffee is delicious, and they offer a great selection of fresh fruit. I highly recommend checking out this amazing restaurant if you're in the area. I would give it a 5 out of 5 for the food, service, and atmosphere.

I have been living in Newport for almost four years, and Hummingbird Cafe is still my go-to place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food is consistently amazing, and the staff are always friendly and attentive. The service, atmosphere, and food all receive a perfect 5 rating. Some recommended dishes include Oxtail and Rice and Peas with Stem Cabbage and Fried Plantain, Jerk Shrimp, Curry Shrimp Rice and Peas with Cabbage Salad, Fried Plantains, Sandwiches, Homemade Bread Pudding, and Jerk Chicken Sandwich. The price per person ranges from $20 to $30.

This restaurant is amazing! We were in a rush and the breakfast spot down the street had a long line. We were seated right away and given big cups of fresh coffee. The breakfast we had here was one of the best we've ever had. The red skinned potatoes with caramelized onions were delicious, the pancakes were fluffy and topped with strawberry guava syrup, the eggs Benedict had the perfect hollandaise, crispy bacon, marbled rye toast, and farm fresh eggs. The restaurant was very clean. This place is a hidden gem that is right in front of us! We're from New Jersey and we know good breakfast.
