Santi's Mexican Grill And Banquet

Recently, I took my sister on a day trip from Los Banos down Mercy Springs and up the five freeway with no set destination in mind. We decided to stop in Newman for some Mexican food and ended up at Santi's. I must say, my taco salad was absolutely delicious and the customer service was exceptional. The only issue we encountered was that there was something floating in my water, possibly due to a dirty cup or needing to change the water filter. However, the staff quickly resolved the issue and the food was excellent. I want to give a big thank you to our waiter and the restaurant for their great service and tasty food. As for vegetarian options, my sister, who is mostly vegetarian, enjoyed a rice, bean, and cheese burrito with extra salsa, but our waiter also offered a vegetarian burrito as an alternative.

The food at this restaurant is absolutely delicious and authentic, just like the meals my grandma used to make in Mexico. The service was also excellent. I definitely plan on returning here again. I had brunch here and it cost between $30-50 per person. I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all a 5 out of 5. I highly recommend trying the Posole, Salsa, and Beef Fajitas.

This restaurant was terrible. The food was expensive, tasteless, and served in very small portions. The fajitas had more onions and peppers than meat. I would never come back here. The service, meal type, and atmosphere all received a rating of 1. Price per person was $10-20.

The food had no taste at all. Beans were bland, rice was cold, dry and bland too. The flautas were braking apart because they were over fried, the beef inside tasted like chalk. Most disappointed was the salsa for the tacos, no spice, no salt and no flavor. I wanted to give them a second chance but once again, Santi's was disappointing. Do not recommend you go there for Mexican food. Can't really recommend a good restaurant around this area! ‍

Customer service lacks. Other tables got served before we did when we were there well before. Food tastes like it all comes from a can. Bland food. Sorry not authentic.
