Description

The restaurant's atmosphere is praised for being beautiful and clean, with employees who are respectful and attentive to customers. The food receives mixed reviews, with some mentioning that the enchiladas were okay but the tortillas were hard. However, there are plenty of recommended dishes like chicken taquitos and shrimp enchiladas. The service seems to vary, with some experiencing forgetful staff while others have had excellent service. The restaurant offers vegetarian options and can accommodate dietary preferences. Overall, customers enjoy the Mexican food and the cool bar area, making it a recommended spot for a tasty meal.

Ask for jenny as a bartender she’s super friendly. ? Also, the tacos were good but the drinks were GREAT ??. Parking: You may get lucky and find a spot downtown but it is always pretty packed.. ?

The restaurant was quite busy and could have benefited from having at least one additional server.

This is the worst restaurant in Newman. Be sure to double-check your bill before you pay. I ordered an Asada Burrito, and the meat was incredibly dry and tasteless—absolutely no flavor. When I asked the staff for a lime, I was told it would cost $1 per slice. The menu states that the burrito comes with guacamole, but mine had none. When I inquired, the staff explained that prices had increased, so guacamole would be extra. Why include it in the ingredients if it won't be provided? I thought it wasn’t a big deal and requested salsa for my burrito, only to be told that it would cost an additional $2!! What kind of place charges for salsa and lime with tacos or burritos? Almost all restaurants provide those for free. Furthermore, the burrito was packed with rice and had hardly any meat. Save your time and money, and go to Taqueria Carolina next door, Dos Aguas across the street, or Taqueria Manzanillo around the corner. The food there is far better, and you won’t face any hidden fees.

After ordering our food and some waters, our waitress brought us the drinks but returned about 30 minutes later to tell us she had forgotten to put in our order. We were the only customers there, aside from a small group of three who were already dining. We assured her it was no problem. Then she brought out our bean dip, but without any chips. I sent my daughter up to the counter to ask for chips to go with our bean dip and salsa—seems like common sense, right? Unfortunately, the chips were old and stale, as they were stacked in baskets prepared ahead of time and left sitting on the counter. Our food finally arrived an hour later, and it was nothing to write home about. My daughter had ordered a kids' meal with six shrimp and fries for her special day, but you could hear the microwave beeping for each meal in the kitchen. The food quality was disappointing; it tasted like Walmart frozen meals heated in a microwave. The enchilada looked like a Lean Cuisine kids' meal served on a plate. In total, we spent $80 for two adults and two kids' meals, plus waters. Honestly, I suspect this place is running more like an undercover brothel than a legitimate restaurant. They seem disinterested in providing a proper dining experience.

I've been eating here for a few years and lately the food is not as good as it was in the past. I'm down to just go to Paterson to Rancho Fesco instead Vegetarian options: They have pretty good vegetarian options Dietary restrictions: They will make you a vegan veggie burrito if you ask them too.
