my first time here. the chips are on nice and fat and not oily like other chip shops. the cod is the same, not fresh and perfectly boiled and not oily again. the savoloys are also beautiful and not fat or taste cheap. beautiful place to get a real fish and chips. The fish and chips at this restaurant are fantastic, and the staff is the friendliest I've encountered in London. I highly recommend this place and will definitely return if I fly into LCY.
During a visit to East London, I had a craving for fish and chips and had a wonderful experience at Lucas, a great spot for both locals and travelers. Despite its unassuming exterior, the warm welcome I received upon entering made me feel like a regular. I had a pleasant exchange with the owner and a woman working behind the counter while waiting for my food, as they patiently answered all of my questions and helped me place my order. The owner then went to the kitchen to prepare my food fresh, and I was delighted with the generous portions of perfectly battered fish and "proper" chips. The authentic taste of the fish and chips made me want to come back for more. I highly recommend Lucas for a delicious meal in East London.

The hospitality and warmth I felt from the shop was amazing. The owners really make the food with love and the conversations is so friendly. Definitely a spot to check out
Went to this chippy yesterday whilst visiting from Liverpool, excellent value and service and the food was the nicest I’ve had in a long time, really tasty and well cooked, really good portion sizes. The staff were amazingly helpful. Definitely worth a visit if your around that way. The local people are so lucky to have such a good chippy.
