Tucked behind the main strip in canning town, the pub with the parrot. He was looking at me a little funny but it's to be expected. The beer list is all macro lagers, no cask beer or hazy pale ales on offer here. It was quiet with the horse racing on the TV, very brightly lit establishment with a pool table at the back. I highly recommend this pub in Canning Town as the best in the area. It is truly the hidden gem of the East End with superb service, affordable prices, and a welcoming atmosphere.
Visited last Friday very nice people who run the pub and the regulars Tommy especially. We felt hungry and Claire I believe booked my wife and I a table nearby food was brilliant. For the very short time was there I felt that it has a very homely atmosphere: whether seated at the bar or at the tables, the decor made you feel that you were all a family having a day or night out together. Approachable and accommodating staff.
The beer was cold. There was a parrot that bites but it was in a cage so it was fine. A true staple of the local area. The locals were friendly yet kept to themselves. It was an honorable affair
