The restaurant has stunning views of Newcastle, but we were disappointed that the table we had reserved for 3 people was wedged in a corner and only suitable for 2. The seats were uncomfortable and the table was too small to accommodate our food and drinks. We requested to move to a more suitable area for 3 people, but were told it was not possible. Even though there were larger tables available and no one else waiting during our 2-hour visit, we were not accommodated.

The location is fantastic and the staff was lovely. However, the food choices were underwhelming as they mostly consisted of meats. Even for our meat-eating friends who decided not to have dinner there last weekend, there were no appealing vegetarian options such as potato dishes, cheese and spinach baked items, or a meat-free cheese platter. It's a shame that the cocktails were great, but we ended up going somewhere else to eat.

The staff were excellent, the singer was fantastic, and the building design and interior decor were amazing.

Amazing cocktails, with great view

Sadly we hoped this would live up to a sophisticated bar with style, class, and legitimate 5 star service. We found it to be the opposite the Romberg bar feels like a waiting room for those waiting to eat in their restaurant. The service was sterile and unfriendly I expected classy and chic and felt it was basic, overrated and definitely over priced for what it is 24 for sparkling water! It’s a small, tired space they tried to make work. It’s sad that this venue couldn’t meet the mark they’re trying for. Won’t be back.
