Movenpick Swiss Ice Cream - Newcastle

Had a delicious desert at Movenpick. Spectacular location. Friendly staff. The ice cream is very overpriced. Great range. I loved the pistachio flavour.

We'd had a nice time having pizzas at the Honeysuckle Hotel and saw this on the way out. The ice-cream choice looked delicious and as a bonus they're in the Entertainment Book (one free double cone if you purchase a double cone). My ice-cream cone with pistachio and pannacota flavour was very nice - the pistachio was not overly sweet and quite nutty. The pannacotta flavour was very rich and delicious. Two of my daughters enjoyed their mint chip cones with lots of small flakes of chocolate. The last daughter had mango and berry sorbet, both of which she loved.$18.50 for two double and two single waffles cones ended up being excellent value and a very nice dessert. Great for the taste but not for the waist.

Who doesn't like ice-cream?! Plenty of flavours to choose from so you have no reason not to try it.

During my seven-day stay in Cairns, I visited Mövenpick Cairns daily to enjoy their delicious ice cream. On my last visit, I purchased three ice creams and was given a supermarket bag to carry them in. Unfortunately, the packaging was not adequate as the ice cream was in Dixie cups without lids, making it unhygienic for takeaway. I mentioned this to the staff member who gave me the bag, suggesting they invest in better packaging for their ice cream. She explained she was too busy with other customers to provide a better solution. I decided not to use the dirty bag and carefully carried the ice creams back to my hotel. Mövenpick should improve their packaging for takeaway orders to ensure a better experience for customers.

I had a delicious dessert at Movenpick. The location was spectacular and the staff was friendly. However, the ice cream was very overpriced. The flavor was rich and I particularly enjoyed the pistachio taste.
