What a great find. Visited in the afternoon for drinks and snacks on the deck. Beautiful spot on a sunny day but well sheltered when it started to rain. Great menu selection. Prompt service from helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommend a visit if you...find yourself in Newcastle. View all feedback.
What Shanon Streich doesn't like about Honeysuckle Hotel:
The view from the outside tables at the back of the hotel is great. You can sit and watch the boat traffic on the harbor as you eat an drink. All very pleasant and relaxing.I ordered a burger and had a Pironi on tap from the bar. Both were quite expensive for a pub.The wait on the burger was very long. Friends who ordered at the same time had finished their meals before mine arrived.Very busy and crowded on a Sunday... View all feedback.
Had two great meals at the HH. I can highly recommend the hot dog meal and the ribs. Outstanding but can I suggest a bit more chilli concarne on the dog. Don't eat too much before a ribs meal. $7 pints of 150 Lashes on the second night was good value.
Had the "thai" salad without any additional meat. Very disappointed. Wilted leaves, basically no dressing, and very small. The noodles were very large and very crunchy (not to my taste but perhaps others). Kids meal small. Calamari and chips very good.
I love it when my kids are not the only kids in a venue/restaurant. This place is great for kids and families of all sizes and ages. Great location with lots to do for adults as well as kids. Food and drink specials daily. Very efficiently run kitchen. Meals were prepared quickly and came out hot. Very good food. We have been here a few times in the last 6 months and most recently was a couple days ago. Highly recommended for lunch. Please note, lunch is the perfect time for families with smaller children. I have not been for dinner but would assume it starts to get more busy and more accommodating towards the drinking age crowd. This is a must visit for lunch. Great all-around.

This is a nice place to have a beer overlooking the water, and there are so many different seating areas. The bathrooms were clean and the staff is friendly as well... we would definitely go back and try food the next time.
