I swung by on a Sunday afternoon amidst huge surf. Friendly staff and totally drinkable coffee- actually better than that. They even gave me a glass of tap water. People were just lazing about in the late winter sun finding spots out of the wind. Lovely vibe, music rolling across us. The potato scallops smelt pretty good. Really lovely spot near the Newcastle baths View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Kiosk Newcastle Beach:
The portions of fish and chips are quite large, possibly too much for a small child if ordering from the children's menu. The fish was fried, with no grilled option available. The restaurant is situated in a lively location with views of the beach from the front. The falafel wraps were filling but had too much salad, could do with more falafels. The staff were friendly. This Kiosk on the beach at Newcastle is simply awesome! A hyge toastie for $10! I got tge piri liri chicken on both days at the beach. Both days were incredible. My GF got the smash avocado on toast. Also amazing, also $10. Great coffees too. If you go to Newcastle, which is a great City, definitely eat your lunch here. Top drawer.

My wife and I love our daily beachfront walks with our puppy, ending at The Kiosk for our morning coffee and often a shared crispy bacon & egg roll, including guiltily sneaking pieces of bacon to the pup, while we idly gaze out over the beach to the ocean or chat to other friendly people enjoying the same outlook. We love The Kiosk for its great coffee and friendly vibe and think it's a perfect way to start the day in Newcastle - "the French Riviera of New South Wales"!
Delicious food - best view in newcastle! Friendly and fast. Great coffee. It's a take away place - so no tables - but plenty of public seating available.
Great design for a small space. Sit in the cool looking directly out at the surfers, with free newspaper, good coffee and helpful, friendly staff. Coffee is still available in crockery cups! If you ask for it, unlike other beachside cafes producing loads of landfill. Looking forward to returning to try the food.
