What HWMR doesn't like about Alvinos:
We waited five minutes to be served while poorly trained staff attended to customers out of order. Eventually, a rather grumpy staff member came to help us. When I asked for a coffee, I was told, "Well, you’ll have to wait." Ten minutes later, the coffee arrived, and it was cold. I had to wait another five minutes just to order hot water to warm it up. Popped in with a few friends this evening and will definitely be visiting again! Really helpful staff with a cool, relaxed atmosphere. Great cocktails too
Ya knaa what ...it's canny From the comic book covered toilets to the pinball machines it's actually a pretty decent place to drink with ye pals
"This is definitely one of the top five bars and pubs to check out in Newcastle. There's no pretentious nonsense here. While the beers might be a bit on the pricey side, and the seating isn't the most comfortable, it's still a great spot to enjoy."
