Do yourself a favour and grab the lobster club sandwich. Lobster, lettuce, onion, hash brown and cheese it’s perfect. Admittedly it’s not cheap for takeaway style food (tables available but it’s all takeaway). I paid $38 for what’s pictured, on a Sunday though. Still worth it in my opinion! View all feedback.
What pam C doesn't like about Scottie's Fish Cafe:
We thought the food was ok though very expensive for what you get. We ordered a dozen oysters for a cost of $48 we were amazed they were very small bistro oysters, not a good start. Fish and chips were ok but expected far better presentation instead of a small plate of chips with a piece of fish place on top. If we had of known you could eat takeaway there at the tiny table and chairs we might have done that as it co... View all feedback.
Great restaurant with a great atmosphere near the beach. Food and cocktails were delicious and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We had the king prawn pancake, Sambal lobster bung and blue float crabs and all were super tasty and would recommend.
I love the food service and everything else down I’m going there repeatedly all the time.
Come here Forget the average, over-priced pub food on the central coast/Newcastle. This place is quaint, plays cool music and makes the BEST Lobster Sandwich I have ever had. Seriously this sandwich was stuff from heaven above. Chunky lobster pieces, a mildly spicy samba aioli sauce with hash browns soaking in all the goodness on toasted white bread... geez oh dang o lang
Scotties is a Must-visit for Newcastle locals and tourists alike. The menu features an eclectic mix of inspired seafood dishes from their kingfish sashimi to their Morton bay pluto pups! All incredibly different and all delicious. Nestled in a beautifully converted terrace, the restaurant is about a 3 minute walk from the beach with a cosy outdoor seating area well away from the chaos of the main CBD. The staff are friendly, attentive and happy to have a little chat if the opportunity presents. We had a wonderful lunch here sampling their Lobster Club sandwich, Tuna Ceviche and a fish kebab. The ceviche was an absolute hit with its bold yet balanced textures and flavours. Our lunch came in at about $120 including drinks so I wouldn’t call this an everyday experience for the average lunch. In our opinion it was well worth the price. We’ll be back soon to try the rest of the menu!
Fantastic local company supplies quality tasty food to Novastrians. Do not forget to order a cheeky house made tartaric acid with any meal!!
