Zulimar - Newburgh
Zulimar
Description
**Zulimar: A Mixed Culinary Experience**
Zulimar offers a cozy ambiance and a delightful selection of dishes, notably its celebrated baleadas and tamalitos. While the food is generally praised for its flavor and reasonable prices ranging from $10 to $20 per person, experiences with service vary. Some guests commend attentive staff, particularly young server Miguel, while others report unfriendliness and delays. Communication may pose a challenge, particularly for non-Spanish speakers. Despite some inconsistency, many patrons consistently return for the flavors and atmosphere, making Zulimar a noteworthy destination for those seeking authentic Honduran cuisine in Newburgh.

For this restaurant to have 4.5 stars, is hard to believe. Ladies if you want a great experience from your server it?s not here. The ladies smile and have a sense of humor when it comes to the men only. I?ve came here twice and realized that from my firstexperience with my business team. Today I came on my own and wow but wow what a change. It?s a shame to the owner and to howthey treat others(females). I ordered two bailadas and since I?m from a different country I was honest and stated I?m?uneducated in what your country puts in this dish?, the lady was so rude in telling me the difference in numbers of dish ofwhat comes in them. I requested certain things off the dish and stated I couldn?t do that! Like what?. On top of that they madeit the way I wanted but 20-25 min wait on a early Thursday morning. RIDICULOUS! When I opened it in the Car it was COLD! Idecided to go to The Patio. A lot better service and food never again going to Zulimar!
Can?t wait to go back. The best part? Some of the menu options were very affordable. We paid about $4.00 for each plate but keep in mind, it came with no sides but still filling! The drinks were actually my favorite part. We tried different juices such asmaracuya (passion fruit) and mora (blackberry). We also liked the chips that were served as a starter. It has a small flame tokeep the chips and beans warm. The worst part? The only part I didn?t like was that I had asked for my dish with no cheese andwhen they started serving plates, the waitresses were opening each tortilla with bare hands to check which one was mine. Otherthen that, it was a good experience and I?d go back for sure cause the food was great.
Food is ok not always hot hot, waitress was not friendly per say. If you come here is for the food not for customer service. Portions used to be descent not anymore, keep that in mind. Overall is good food small portions, and prices well not so high yet
Back at this restaurant. The food was much better, the service started off weak but after asking for coffee 3 times and NOT being served our tortillas, the young waiter Miguel came to the rescue. He changed our day with his good service and attention! Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $30–50 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
