Subway - Newburgh
Subway
Description
At this neighborhood sandwich spot, fresh ingredients and well‑stacked subs shine in takeout, catering and an efficient drive‑thru, but experiences vary wildly. Service ranges from friendly, professional employees to inattentive or rude staff, and at least one patron reported illness after eating. Guests also note poor parking and a confusing breakfast schedule since the shop opens late. Great when the right team is on—approach with caution during busy shifts.

It’s a Wednesday and they’re open until 9pm, I went there a little after 8:30 and they had already locked the doors and closed. Disappointing.
I recently visited this particular Subway and unfortunately encountered a very rude server who inappropriately cussed out one of his coworkers, a person I believe was named Colin. His behavior created a very toxic atmosphere, and his service was quite poor. On a brighter note, there was another server with black fluffy hair who was tall, and he was incredibly nice and respectful. Despite the negative vibe created by Colin, this second server provided excellent service.
I ordered a BMT with provolone cheese, tomato, lettuce, banana peppers, and mayo. An hour after only eating half of my 6-inch sub, I started experiencing diarrhea and cramps. This was followed by vomiting, fever, and chills. I ate the sandwich around 5 PM on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, and now it’s 7:30 AM on April 10, 2024, and I'm still feeling terrible. I was perfectly fine before this and ended up missing a night of work. I will never eat here again!
