The smoky flavor was particularly enjoyable. Not everyone can smoke pork well, but the folks here definitely know what they're doing. The pork is tender enough that it doesn't need to be shredded, which speaks volumes about its flavor profile. We’ll definitely be coming back next time!

For breakfast, we ordered a sausage and egg buttermilk biscuit, a breakfast bowl with smoked ham, and a simple buttermilk biscuit. Everything was delicious! Today for dinner, we tried a plate of ribs accompanied by sauces, beans, and potato salad. The ribs were fantastic, and I enjoyed them without any sauce. The baked beans, which had smoked ham, were well-seasoned and full of flavor. I loved them, though I can see how some might find them a bit intense. The potato salad was simply delightful! The owners were present and incredibly friendly. It's no surprise this place had a line! *Unfortunately, my photo of the ribs doesn't do justice to how great they were. I was too hungry and dug in before I remembered to take a picture.

I particularly enjoyed the pulled pork, and the chicken salad had a unique twist. However, my absolute favorite was the Brunswick stew. Treat yourself to some delicious dishes!

But today my wife an... read more Listen Folks, I've been from GA to TX and have eaten some of the country's best BBQ, from Fox Bro. In GA ,Big Bob's in AL to Black's in Tx. But today my wife and I went to this little place about 8 miles away from home, Zim Skillet in Newborn, and to my dismay I put about the best BBQ pulled pork (and all the sides) in my mouth that I have ever had!!! I was truly shocked and my taste buds and stomach was more than happy!!! If you want to have some amazing BBQ and a fabulous smoked salmon then you need to try Zim Skillet!!! Newton County should go there and show these folks some love, like they will show them with the food that they serve.. Zim Skillet, my wife and I will be back next weekend to try the next item in the menu, and I cannot wait!!! Chad C
