The staff behind the counter were frie... read more This Subway had bread and ingredients available, which was a relief. However, the anti-LGBTQIA+ sentiment was noticeable. The staff behind the counter were friendly and helpful in making suggestions until it was my turn. Unfortunately, it went downhill from there. They only provide those unpleasant unwaxed paper straws that dissolve in your drink, leaving a bad taste and texture. The menu could definitely use some improvement in that area.

When I came in yesterday and asked for light mustard on my sandwich, the employee added an excessive amount. When I asked if some could be removed, he awkwardly tried to scrape it off with his finger. I ended up leaving without my order. This place clearly needs better staff training. I won’t be coming back.

My sub was $1.30 more expensive than at most other Subway locations. The meats were portioned into small dishes, giving the impression that the franchise owner is trying to nickel and dime customers. The employee made a great sandwich and provided excellent service, which is why I’m giving an extra star. However, I won’t be returning to this Subway. The menu prices felt inconsistent compared to other locations.

The Newberg Subway is a family favorite — my son and daughter choose it over any other fast food chain nine times out of ten, which makes me happy. The staff always prepare our sandwiches with care, never rushing or skimping, and they’re genuinely pleasant. Sydney was excellent the other day, thoughtfully answering my questions about which combinations would work best. Her creativity and willingness to collaborate helped me build the perfect sandwich: Italian Steak, Eggs, Pepper Jack, Toasted Black Olives, Spinach, Pepperoncini, and Sriracha—a delicious twist on a breakfast burrito with a nice crunch. The store is always busy but clean and well-organized, and we love it. Just be patient—they’re often very busy with online orders and seem a bit understaffed, but they work hard and stay positive.
