This was a great place to stop for dinner before we went to see a play. Everything was delicious and atmosphere was great until a group of five ladies came in and were seated right next to us and talked loudly the entire time until we left. View all feedback.
I wasn't very impressed. They ran out of the vegetarian pasta option within the first hour of dinner service. The choices were limited and didn't feel worth the price.
The experience was fantastic. If you're seeking something exceptional, this chef truly excels. The food was remarkably inventive, and I would highly recommend it.
**Atmosphere** Imagine stepping into an old Victorian house, where each room has been transformed into exquisite yet cozy dining areas, complete with ambient music playing softly in the background to facilitate conversation. There’s also a charming courtyard-style seating area. Although we didn’t have a reservation, we were seated at the bar, which turned out to be perfect for us. **Drinks** My wife ordered a lemon drop, while I opted for a Woodford Reserve Old Fashioned. Nothing extraordinary about our choices, but our bartender, Jessica, truly impressed us. The lemon drop was just right—neither too tart nor overly sweet. My Old Fashioned came with an ice cube made of bitters, and I must say, I’m definitely stealing that idea. For dinner, Jessica suggested a 2018 Raptor Ridge Pinot Noir. Our takeaway on its profile: dark fruits, coffee, a hint of toast, a touch of licorice—bold and flavorful. It paired wonderfully with our meal and was worth the threefold markup on the price (retail $28, charged $87). **Appetizers** My wife enjoyed a radicchio salad featuring eggs, Castelvetrano olives, breadcrumbs, and a light Caesar vinaigrette. Honestly, it deserves a name change to "Ridiculous Radicchio" because it was THAT good. I chose the tartare, which came with a slightly spicy aioli. I’ve never had tartare served with homemade herbed potato chips before, and they added the perfect crunch while complementing the dish beautifully. It’s definitely one of the best tartares I’ve ever tasted. **Dinner** For our main course, we went with the Bourride, reminiscent of a bouillabaisse but in a creamy aioli sauce. It featured cod, colossal shrimp, mussels, and garlic crostinis. The dish was heavenly, both in its presentation and flavor. We also shared a Cacio e Pepe, enriched with browned butter. If I had to sum it up in one word, it would be “sinful." It was incredibly delicious. **Dessert** For dessert, my wife chose the almond cake, while I went with the chocolate semifreddo. The sponge of the cake was delightful…
We made a reservation here after it came up many times as a recommendation. When we walked up, we were excited to see a beautiful older house that they turned into a restaurant. We got the soup, bucatini and steak. The cocktails were great, but sowere the wines offered by the glass. I think I will be dreaming about the steak and bucatini for a while. I would definitelyrecommend coming here for the ambiance, drinks, and most importantly, the food.
