Description

Forage, a notable eatery in Newberg, captivates diners with its cozy ambiance and impressive menu. While opinions vary, many rave about the chewy, wood-fired pizzas, particularly the margherita, which some consider exceptional. Appetizers like the charred artichoke dip generally receive positive feedback, alongside hearty entrees such as risotto and tri-tip beef. Although salad selections may fall flat, the attentive service and lively atmosphere enhance the dining experience. With a solid cocktail menu and reasonable pricing, Forage is recommended for a satisfying meal—just be prepared for a lively soundtrack! Overall, it presents a compelling option for both locals and visitors.

Sadly this was a miss for me. It was my first time here and we were excited to try some yummy food! The reviews were mostly very complimentary so we were happy to find a new spot. Where we could sit outside with a fur-friend. Reality: To get a GF pizza the up charge for the crust was $10.00 definitely pricier than most. I decided to just go with a salad. The lettuce was fresh and of decent quality, it was in HUGE pieces and the server seemed to be manning both the inside and outside so I used my fingers to tear the salad so it was edible and since we did not see him until we were finished with our dinner. There was only about 1/3 of the lettuce that had any dressing (it was tossed and pre dressed). There were 17 of the tiniest sliver cubes of bacon that wouldn’t have even filled half of a shot glass and all 17 were at the very bottom of the salad due to the sliver size and the massive chunks of lettuce. My little girl ordered a cheese pizza (she is a pizza fanatic) she said it tasted good but it was so burnt both top and bottom I was a little surprised she went for it. By the end of her meal her ENTIRE face and hands were black due to the burnt black crust. She is not a particularly messy eaterso that was interesting. I also asked if they could make her pizza half cheese and half something else and they do not allow this due to the extra time it wpd take. Service: the server was nice, not seeing him the duration of the meal was disappointing considering we were 1 of three customers but we were the only people sitting outside and he seemed to be manning both dining areas. Sadly the experience was just overall very disappointing. Meal type: Dinner Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2
