Description

Pita Square offers a diverse range of dining experiences, with standout dishes and notable misses. Customers rave about the beef kofta sandwiches and the irresistible avocado hummus, praising their freshness and flavor. The falafel also receives accolades for its value and taste. However, some diners voiced disappointment in the chicken shawarma, finding it poorly executed, with strange flavors and an odd presentation. While many appreciated the friendly service and inviting atmosphere, others noted inconsistencies in food quality, particularly with bland chicken and dry meat. Overall, Pita Square presents a potentially delightful dining option for Mediterranean cuisine enthusiasts.

My experience at the restaurant was quite varied, largely depending on what I ordered. The wings were fantastic and the falafel was quite enjoyable. The baklava was just okay—not bad, but not impressive either. However, the major disappointment was the chicken shawarma. It was truly inedible and not deserving of the name "shawarma." The flavor was the strangest thing I've ever tasted, completely unlike traditional shawarma. The chicken tasted boiled rather than properly cooked, and the sandwich was filled with comically large pieces of vegetables, even including the entire root of the lettuce. To top it off, it was missing the pickles that I had specifically requested. Ultimately, my chicken shawarma sandwich went straight to the trash where it belonged.

I had high hopes for this restaurant after reading positive reviews. I ordered the chicken with rice, a side of falafel, and a mint lemonade. Unfortunately, the chicken was underseasoned and needed more salt. The rice was passable, and the hummus and tzatziki were just average. However, I did enjoy the falafel; they were a good value for the price. The lemonade was also worth trying. Ultimately, I think the food could use more flavor. On a positive note, the customer service was great.
