Mario’s Pizza - Newark

Be careful with the workers who like to harass single women, they are very brave but only with women with men it no longer works. Be careful if you go to the business alone, there is one named Andrés who likes to harass women, especially young girls.

I was staying nearby at the Red Roof Inn. We decided we wanted to get something quick for dinner and have some leftovers for later on. I had planned on going about 3 mi away to a pizza place that I had gone to before and I forget the name. I decided to go to Mario's cuz it was really close by. When I entered it was kind of warm in there and the air conditioner was not working. I ordered a large pizza for Melissa and I. One half of the pizza was cheese and the other half was hamburger, sweet peppers, and onions. It took about 25 minutes for the pizza. When I got the pizza home and opened the lid I was disgusted because the pizza wasn't constructed properly. The vegetables were cut too big and not distributed evenly. The other half of the pizza was just cheese and it looked like it had been turned sideways and was falling off. I was disappointed when eating the pizza because of its appearance and it also cooled off quickly and it really wasn't that good. I should have went to the other pizza place where I knew it was good. I do not recommend this place.?

My favorite spot for a pizza in Newark, DE. Can’t go wrong with a large BBQ Chick pie. Stretchy cheese, chewy crust and they don’t skimp on the chicken.The dine in area is not a great view. Closed on Sundays.

I have been going to Mario’s since 2012 and I actually love their pizza and never had a problem until today when this short rude old man had a problem with me ordering one slice of pizza. Well I work over night and I stop on my way to work so I’m going to continue to order my one slice of pizza so all I have to do is walk in pay and leave.

I ordered a tomato pie and Sicilian pizza, and both were delicious. The tomato pie, while not exactly like the ones in Philly, was a tasty alternative compared to others I have had.
