Mad Macs - Newark

They have nice food, appetizers, fried stuff and various Mac and cheese. Many drinks and large cocktail choices. Sometimes it's something full and loud with the music. Recommended to bring a group of friends or family for the best experience (at least 3 people). Service is good and it is a nice relaxed environment to hang.

The Mac and the cheese of Mad-Macs really enjoyed. Every time I drove from this place, it's always packed and I just heard great things about it, and the recommendations didn't disappoint. We tried both the Lasagna Mac and the 6-Cheese Mac and both were great. They were very generous with the cheese and the size of the meal was also huge, so perfect for a great meal or save some for later. There was also a lot of variety on the menu that I have to go back and try at a later time. Generally, I have to try. Definitely recommend!

Saturday night with a friend. It was so loud. they had all 21 tvs in there blow up some football basketball games, there were several drunk(? Girls scream. I was there a few years ago, it was quieter and quieter, they changed their whole format. they only have 2 seats in the bar areas. very loud. However, the food was good, had the chicken parm bites, Cajun shrimps Mac cheese, which was great. My friend had the Tuscan alfredo mac cheese, he said it was just okay. Prices arent cheap, about $15-22 for the Mac cheese dishes. What was also annoying was that she added a 3.5% FL cc pmt tax to our bill, but we 're in delaware....my card is also from Florida. tried to ask the waitress but she hid herself. So we left very angry and disappointed. Something suspicious. Not sure I'm going back, if I do, it'll just get out.

I was expecting a place that specializes in the making and serving of Mac and Cheese to be overprocessed and gimmicky. I was wrong. The food that is available at Mad Macs is solid, fresh, tasty, and clever. I had the Philly cheesesteak Mac and it was very delicious. A huge bowl for take out and I must admit it was enough for two meals. I paired the mac and cheese with a side of brussel sprouts and this made for a solid dinner!
