Kaedama - Newark
Kaedama
Description
In the bustling atmosphere of the airport, the ramen offers a range of experiences. While the tonkotsu variant garners mixed acclaim, with some noting its satisfying but not stellar quality, other dishes like the pork shoyu ramen provide decent portions and reasonable wait times. Service emerges as a highlight, with attentive staff striving to enhance diners' experiences. However, the disappointment lingers for those encountering inconsistent quality, unexpected ingredients, and high prices, especially at the bar where cocktails can leave much to be desired. Ultimately, amidst the chaos of travel, the restaurant presents a few promising options.

Has a great and fast service. Ramen bowl (Pork Shoyu Ramen) was pretty large for the price of 24$ with tips included. Waiting time was around 15 minutes. It also took us some time to figure out how to order, since the bar is cash free. Bar has power outlets so you can charge your electronic devices. There is free Wi-Fi at the bar that worked great.
Won’t even talk about service but the food was literally the nastiest thing i’ve ever put in my mouth. The ramen tasted like pee. Still gagging thinking about it.
Possibly the worst airport bar I've ever been in. Pretty sure the sushi came from the self serve kiosk, just double the price. Wasabi was turning brown. All the cocktails were $18, and then had to add more money to add alcohol. Even then couldn't finish it, ordered an old fashioned with Japanese Whiskey. Pretty sure it came with Fireball. You order on an app and they ask fur the top up front, so no chance to send it back. Guy who brought the food was nice though.
Honestly the food wasn't amazing, but it's airport food. It's nice to have options apart from sushi and fried foods. The service was amazing though, the waiter really went above and beyond to make sure everyone was happy.
