Description

This Caribbean takeout spot delivers a mixed bag: vibrant vegetarian patties and thoughtful accommodations for gluten/dairy intolerances contrast with dry or bland mains, overcooked sides, small portions and prices that feel high. Service and order accuracy are inconsistent—staff can be rushed and menu items sometimes unavailable—though delivery and takeout remain convenient. A few dishes show real promise; expect a casual, fast‑casual experience with hit‑or‑miss consistency.

I ordered a small oxtail dish with rice and peas, cabbage, and plantains. Unfortunately, the oxtails were the blandest I've ever tasted—absolutely no flavor! I can't stress enough how tasteless they were. The cabbage was soggy and equally flavorless. The only redeeming aspect of this $20 plate was the plantains, which were decent. Oxtail is already a pricey dish, so I strongly suggest hiring a chef with Caribbean expertise to prepare it properly.

I ordered lunch from this restaurant and opted for the oxtails, but it was a terrible experience. The rice was overcooked, mushy, and quite unappetizing—how can you mess up rice? The plantains were burnt, too. My coworker and I really tried to give the food a chance, but we both felt sick after eating. The jerk chicken was dry, and the cabbage was too soupy. To make matters worse, one of the male employees had a bad attitude. I received just four small, unappetizing oxtails for nearly $20! It was disgusting. Trust the reviews—don't eat here unless you want to feel unwell. There was a strange taste after just one bite, and I was very disappointed. The food definitely didn't taste fresh at all. I won't be coming back; it felt like I had hair in my throat after eating. This place needs to be reported.

As for vegetarian options, they are delightful as well. My favorites include the cabbage and the sautéed vegetables! Regarding dietary restrictions, I have gluten and dairy intolerances, but the owner prepares the food in a way that allows me to enjoy more options without compromising on flavor.

The dish was overly salty, and the patty had a strange texture that reminded me of dog food. I did not enjoy it at all.
